My neighbor just took delivery of this car, it's been featured on Gearz TV. It's called a SL-C (Super Lite Car) provided by RCR (Race Car Replicas). Often powered by LS7's, he's using a different powerplant...

What does it weigh? Looks crazy. I bet you have a couple additional amenities than he does.

Hey, good to hear from you "LittleRon" :), I usually see you at Woodward. It should tip around 2300# when finished!

Oh its going its going to fly! Imagine that thing with 650rwhp, what would be the equivalent HP in our cars?

I like it OP, it reminds me of a Zonda?

556hp in a 2300# car is 4.13lbs/hp

a V would need ~1000HP to match that power/weight ratio.

1000lbs is equivalent to appx 100HP. meaning if you remove 1000 lbs or add 100 HP both will gain you appx 1 sec gain in the 1/4 mile.

I was impressed to hear that the motor is a new GM plant unit, delivered right to him for under 14k with ECM harness. He doesn't need the clutch and flywheel so he's gonna e-bay them as a set. The car gets a Porsche transaxle (trans) supposedly good for 1000 hp (with a small but mighty clutch).

Update on my friend's LSA powered car. I realize it's probably a Forum "Performance Mods" area thing but I'll wait til it performs to post it there. Here's some pics of it in out the light with the new tail light panel and the blower modification poking out. New upper pulley kits, Lingenfelter supercharger polish, Camaro intercooler guts, and CNC alternate accessory drives installed.

Can you imagine the Supercharger whine you hear in your car located right behind your head? An exhaust system un-shielded, catalytic converter-free only 3' long just behind you?

I have dreamed since I was a kid of having the opportunity to build my own car to my exact specifications. Still do. (The V2 is pretty close.)

I want to see this car finished. And I want to see how he does the interior.

I like the suspension ride height lifter.

Thanks for posting. Subscribed.

Thanks for sharing, Nutz. Glad to see you're still around occasionally. Still have your 09 V? I moved on to an OBM 13 6MT wagon.

Very impressed! Nicely done, and whoever is doing the fab work has talent.

Can't wait to see the final product.

Thanks for sharing, Nutz. Glad to see you're still around occasionally. Still have your 09 V? I moved on to an OBM 13 6MT wagon. Hi Bob, the colder months seem to be my best chance to drop in here and jaw a little. I really dig the Opulent Blue, likely the color I would have gotten if it was available in 09. Your second V offers a strong understanding as to why these cars are good to own. Your son is probably all grown up since I last saw him, hope all is well, take care.

Can't wait to see the final product. :thumbsup:Amazingly the owner (who is a commercial electrician by trade) is doing all of the fab work (including CNC machining at his Dad's small tool shop) has mad skillz. My GoPro is charged and ready for hopefully this summer's anticipated warm-up.

That is just an over the top set of wheels. It's nice to see what deep pockets can build. Spectacular.
