: No SnugTop Camper for Escalade EXT?

I know it sounds bad and ugly but i can really use a camper for camping and road trips. I searched and the only thing i found was the SnugTop XUV for Chevrolet Avalanche.
Question is will it fit on EXT?
Its not listed for EXT but is that because no one in their right mind would put a camper on a Cadillac or because it wont fit?
Is there that much of a difference between our EXTs and avalanche beds?

Here's the SnugTop XUV for Avalanche

Ive already tried the Escalade tent and its a pain to put up all the time. I'd prefer a camper.

I did considering trading in my EXT for an ESV but i still use my bed a lot.

I can't get a towable camper because i usually have something on the back.

I dont know why the avalanche kit wouldnt work on the EXT. They are identical in dimensions...

I emailed them and they told me it wouldn't fit. I have no idea why! I really would like to see if it does fit and if not I'd like to see how much the snugtop would need to be modified to make it fit.
Too bad no one near me has one in stock to test fit.

I have spoke to an engineer at Snugtop, he said the only differences are the 3rd brake light and the side windows. He said if someone was handy they should be able to make it work. I plan on trying it out

Nice! Better the the answer I got, "We don't make anything for Escalade"
If you try it out be sure to post pictures. I really want camper.

it wont fit not only is the 3 brake light diffrent but the side sails panels too you would have to change them out the saddel bag lids are also diffrent . you can get in a avalanche forum and see all the parts are diffrent i think the sail panels in the ave are longer and sadel bag lids are shorter and on the ext they are the oposite

Not sure about that, I had the ext parked right next to an avalanche 2 nights ago and measured things up and took a bunch of pics...they looked the same to me. I know the snugtop wont work when avalanche guys put on the aftermarket ext panels, the smooth ones that just go overtop of the factory avalanche trim. But factory ext to avalanche comparision, they looked the same to me but I will try and actually measure them out. Most of the fitment issues I saw for the sail panels seem to be on the old body style pre 2007 models according to the Avalanche forums.

well if you just looked at it i am sure you notice that the avalanche sail panels have faseners in the inside panels and that they are more narrow than the ext i am sure 100% that they are diffrent like i said before go in to the avalanche forum and you will see where ppl have all ready change their parts out to the ext and all the parts sail panels and saddel bags need to be changed so you wont have a gap between the 3 break light and iner sail panels better yet call the dealership and ask them if you could replace one of your ext inner sail panel or outer with one of a avalanche and they will tell you that they are both diff sizes

Sorry for reviving an old thread but I am in the process of buying an 2013 EXT and my plan was to install a Snugtop Avalanche shell onto it.

I never thought to check but just assumed that the Snugtop Avalanche shell (07 to 13 model) will fit an 2013 EXT no problem but now after reading this I'm not so sure.

Can anyone here who knows confirm if the Snugtop Avalanche Shell will fit a 2013 EXT? If not can it be made to fit with minor modifications to the truck?

Thanks so much for your help.
