I'm on a trip, and my wife called and told me that the car has been giving her "coolant low" messages the last couple days. Being a woman, of course she hasn't--gasp!---opened the hood to actually look at the reservoir. :) She did say that she hasn't seen any spots under the car and that the temperature indicator has been normal.
Has anyone else had a coolant leak in the SRX? If so, where was it and how bad?

My dealer replaced a bad coolant monitor switch and "low coolant" messages stopped. 04 v-8
My "coolant low" light has come on if it isn't parked perfectly level. I checked the overflow tank, and could see why. The sensor measures coolant level in the overflow tank. It hasn't come on since, even without adding any coolant, and the temp gauge has always stayed normal.
Same problem with my 04 V8.

Same problem with my 04 V8.
Which problem have you had, a bad sensor or a coolant level that drops below the sensor on hills?
Both. it started with the message coming on when going down hill, and then more and more often. Took it to the dealer. They topped the fluids, but the warning came on once after that. I have not had the sensor changed, But I will ask them to do that when they do the oilchange.
mine did right after the first oil change. topped it off, and no problems since.

Mine only shows that on cold-start. Temp and Coolent level are fine. No leaks either. Had this 04 V8 for a month, this showed up twice, I have been ignoring them so far.

Just got my 1st warning today! 10 degrees out; cold start. Checked coolant expansion tank, and it was OK. (10,100 miles on SRX)
Guess I'll not worry about it. Just one more button to push on start-up! (Driver #1, Ice possible, Rear defrost; front defrost, High Fan, F'ing warning on NAV) :dammit:
