Yep, redesigned Escalade is set to hit the streets late 2014 as a 2015. I'm anxious to see the 2014 though since it'll be the last year for the current design.

saw that almost two months ago.

One you saw was a Tahoe.

This is escalade.

It looks very close to current car as far as body style which is good.

Led lights all the way to the bumper.
I hope it will lighter and more fuel efficient.

Only reason I think they are waiting 2014 jan to start production is put 8 speed transmission instead of 6.

I really hope they improve the quality and just didn't transfer everything to a new body. Would be a nice boost to the economy to buy and believe in American cars. The potential has always been there, gm just need to deliver. On a side note I hope they finally add push button start and a hard drive.

I thought its coming next year (2013) as a 2014 model?

MrHolland

The redesign slipped a year.

Are you planning on making a purchase??

I'm keeping my eyes open for anything regarding the next generation Escalade. I'll probably be a buyer toward the end of the first model year. Being in the fleet business I can't drive an old body style for very long after the new one comes out...... have to keep raising the bar on the competition.

I just want to see what it looks like and if they have improved on the old one.

I really don't think it's going to be a radical change. I think it's just going to be a refresh with some improvements.... perhaps better interior materials, different lights, 8 speed traqnny etc.

The 2014 should be very similar to the current model. The redesign, I'm betting will be a radical change.

the nav software will be like the new models, ATS, XTS and the current volt.

I just read on car and driver that the escalade will be out in late 2013 as a 2014 model. Also they said possibly it will only come in a ESV version because cadillac is a releasing a crossover like the Buick enclave etc......but who knows

The pictures in the article are not an ESV. My predictions is it comes in both.

Possible Twin Turbo 3.6L V6 option, I hope the 8 comes turbo too lol

Possible 8 speed Tranny too, should help with fuel economy. I guess they lowered their warranty by 30,000 miles on power-train 1.5 years in advance of this 8 speed. Coincidence on the timing?

Looks like they added front IR sensors for parking now too, which is nice since we only have them when backing up right now. Those IR sensors are mounted on a 0 angle so I assume It will also be used for driving to sense the distance of cars in front of you and apply the brakes accordingly, or vibrate the pedals inside to alert you.

Front and rear signal lights and rear backup lights are now LED Parking lamps also appears to be LED. Like every other vehicle, adopting front LED accent lighting too (the craze started by Audi), but looks great on the Escalade, DRL's look halogen though...really?

The lines look good similar to a larger range rover, (especially good, now that the new RR went smaller) it's on a truck platform GMT900 which I like, looks like it lost a couple inches on the hood length making it look slightly more stout, almost hummeresk but beefy looking which I like. I don't know if I like that solid plate under the front grill, looks like it's smiling. Something you would see on a truck like an f150.

Roof rack and rails are removed, giving a more European sleek design matching the range rover styling again here.

suspension system looks the same as current model.

Chrome accents are now gone on side mirrors but you can still see they are using the chrome on the liftgate, so i would say they keep the chrome accents throughout, dropping it only from the mirrors and roof rails, It appears the door handles have been redesigned and are more angular, they have been slimmed down and/or partially recessed into the door giving again, a more streamlined look to the vehicle. (hopefully these don't fall off too)

Inside the redone interior is said to feature the Cue infotainment system which is desperately needed to replace it's current outdated system and archaic navigation.

Rear window wiper arm is now hidden from view under the rear LED light bar. Top mount design will look better being hidden, and give a more streamed line appearance to the rear, will also no longer act as a shelf and get snow buildup on it, very nice redesign.

Rear exhaust no longer appears to stick with the 2012-2014 exhaust redesign of going through the rear bumper, but instead exits the same as 2011, not sure why they went back to the old design, possibly a full sized spare tire issue.

It looks good, very sharp. It has obvious European styling with American size, ruggedness, & hopefully brute strength too. So far I have to say great job Cady! Now I just hope you found some paint that lasts more than 2 years ;) if so I'm on board with ordering a 2015 or 2016 for sure at this point.

Here is a pic I found for the 2014 Tahoe (our sister vehicle) a lot of things will be different but the main things like center console gear shift, gauges, nav. screen etc will be the same. I do not know if this is real or not, just passing it on

^ I really don't like the center shifter. Like it better on the steering column.

That interior pic is NOT of the next gen Tahoe ... it's either a Chevy version or photoshopped/rendered version of the 13 Buick Enclave.

http://www.lincah.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/2013-Buick-Enclave-Interior.jpg

It might even be for a completely different vehicle.

Plus it's too small and cocoon carlike to be of a full size SUV ... and the next gen trucks, as I understand it, retain the steering column shifter.

Definintly a Chevy but looks more like a Traverse in size. Hard to tell.
