That is not the greatest diagram fo sho!

#1 Turn engine on, turn steering wheel all the way in any direction, turn engine back off.
#2 Remove two bolts holding headlight in.
#3 With a flathead screwdriver pop out 9 plastic tabs from the large plastic piece that goes across the front of the engine compartment and remove this whole piece. These are self locking tabs. To remove, stick the flathead into the middle round piece and lift it up, this will unlock the tab. (There is one more of this type of tab in the wheel well in step 5)
#4 Remove the 6 bolts holding the top of the grill, this will give you a little free play when we need to wiggle the light out
#5 Remove 2 bolts holding plastic wheel well cover, then With flathead screwdriver pop out 1 plastic tab in there (the top most tab), than pop out 2 regular type tabs in there. All these are in the wheel well and after we remove these, stick your hand inside the wheel well towards the front headlight and you will find the last headlight bolt. with a wrench loosen the bolt until you can unscrew it the rest of the way by hand.
#6 This takes a little time and patience, wiggle the whole headlight out being VERY careful not to scratch the bumper, you can apply masking tape to your fender prior if you wish to insure no scratches. The front grill will be a little loose now so you can push the grill a little out of the way an inch or 2 to get you that extra wiggle room you need.
#6 after getting it out unplug the 1 wire harness and DONE!

Replacing Bulbs:
Parking light: 194/168 type bulb, top bulb, easy to remove just twist the socket 1/4 turn clockwise and pulls right out, bulb pulls right out of the socket
DRL: 5202/5201 Middle bulb, First turn the round dust cap 1/2 turn counter clockwise to remove, then Be VERY careful not to break the tabs holding in the bulb, as they are just waiting there to be broken off. Bend top tab up till it just barely releases tab, repeat for bottom tab then pull bulb right out, new bulb clicks right in to the harness
Headlights: Bottom bulb. D1S. TO remove dust cap pull down on the plastic part just under the tab, this will release the cover. disconnect the bulb wiring by just wiggling it straight down. Turn bulb base 1/4 turn counter clockwise and pull bulb straight out. Remove black plastic piece from old bulb by unlocking it on the side latch. When putting this on the new bulb make sure to line up the tabs that go in the little notches just right.

Notes:
Remember to never touch any bulbs with your fingers, the oils can shorten the life of your bulbs, if you do use rubbing alcohol to remove it.
You can access your parking bulb and maybe your DRL's without removing the whole unit.
if you're stuck and cant wiggle it out, or back in, I recommend removing the bottom bolts of the grill and taking it out all together, that gives you more room if you need it. 'I didnt but I you might not feel you have enough room
Take your time and make sure that everything is lined up or inside the correct hole when reinstalling your whole lamp before tightening everything down.
If you get stuck go on youtube and look up headlight removal tahoe. There's better ones for tahoe, and only the bumper will be different. All the videos for Escalade were not very helpful , I guess us escalade owners don't do this as much as others.

I just did this to change my parking lights to LED's, got tired of the yellow look.

Real easy to do.

Two notes. I replaced parking light bulb and xenon bulb yesterday on passenger side. 07 ext. Headlight/xenon bulb: 1/8 turn, not 1/4. 1/4 will break the plastic. I did it after removing air filter housing and bracket. 20 minute job. No need to remove the headlight housing.
