I replaced mine a few months ago.

As I recall it was a pretty straight forward DIY as the video shows above. A couple of simple hand tools will be needed.

While I was replacing the water pump, I opt'd to replace the idler pulley and belt tensioner too. I did not replace the serpentine belt as mine still looks good (no cracking). Our Escalade had about 158k on it when I replaced everything. Additionally I did a complete flush of the coolant and replaced with new.

While I was under the vehicle, I noticed there is a small serpentine belt and tensioner that runs the AC Compressor, located front passenger side of engine, I replaced these as well. The belt was heavily worn and looked to be original. Funny enough there is no mention of this belt in the maintenance schedule.

I believe all the above was done in a 2 hour time frame, give or take 30 minutes.
