Like the title says i did a tank of Gas while not gunning it and i got 280 out of the tank. I filled the tank with 15.6 Gallons. this was in city and highway mix.

342 miles. It was all highway miles and I put in 17.1 gallons when I finally stopped to fill up. I never gunned it or got into boost and had the cruise set at 65. It was a work trip and I have a rule about never speeding during a work trip. They are paying me so why risk getting a ticket. I averaged ~20 MPG. Over the first 7500 miles my average is 17 MPG. I live in the middle of no where and very rarely see much traffic.

I've been on track to get 340 miles out of a tank, but I filled up when the tank was only about 3/4 empty. I had been averaging 20.2 mpg for the whole tank. It was one of those trips where the gas stations were few and far between, and I didn't want to push it and get stranded somewhere. The actual numbers were 205 miles out of 10.6 galons.

Isn't that 19.3 miles/gallon??? 😉

Oh yeah I see what I did. I used the wrong numbers. I'm looking at the data in the app I use to keep track of it. It was 19.3 for that tank, it was the tank after that one that was 20.2.

For that one it was 174 miles and 8.631 gallons. I know where that was too, I had to stop for gas even though I was only at about half a tank because it was right before a long stretch with no gas stations and I didn't feel like being brave about it, haha. And then I had a couple other tanks that were 19.7 and 19.2 mpg, all on the same trip. Anyway based on the numbers I've seen when going on longer trips, I'm confident I could get 340 miles out of it if I pushed it to within about a gallon of gas left in the tank.

Just did Northwest Tampa suburb to Disney (and area) and back this weekend on a single tank, did 90 much of I-4 and averaged 19.7MPG overall (21.1 on the highway) - did over 200 miles on just over half a tank - I was amazed because I expected to be at half when I got there (I've been averaging 12.2 around here, but I take a lot of short slow trips). It's really an efficient highway cruiser for an engine that big.

OP why are you always asking about Gas ?
