Hello. I am in the process of putting on new valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, spark plugs and may go ahead and do the thermostat while im in there. My question is regarding the black tubes that go over the spark plugs. Most of mine are ripped and also covered in oil. I can't seem to find these anywhere. A little help would be appreciated. Anything else i should tackle while i have the top end of the engine takin apart?

SO after some research those rubber tubes come with new coil packs. I do not need new coil packs. Surely there is something else i can do.

I find it hard to believe that the plug boots aren't available separately.
Edit: Rockauto carries Ac Delco and Denso plug boots for the Catera:
Cadillac - 2001 - Catera - Ignotion - COP Coil boot - Take your pick.

Well $14.29 for 1 is a bit pricey i believe. For a rubber boot. Also when i go to check out it says that part is not available.

Well they're cheaper than buying new coils. The Denso set is a bit cheaper, just over $10 a piece. That is a bit pricy for JUST a rubber boot. Do they serve any conductive purpose whatsoever (is there a metal socket inside)?
Honestly, <$100 for something that only needs replacement every 10 years or so, is not expensive.
