: Anyone run 305 MT DRs on 18 inch TSW Nurburgrings?

Currently I'm running DRs on Z06 replica wheels. They work fine but are heavy. The TSWs are about 7pds lighter per wheel.

I have 4 TSWs with snow tires mounted. I might pick up another two wheels, mount the DRs on them and sell the replica Z06s.

They are both 40mm offset and same width but I don't know the backspacing.

Has anyone run these before or know if they'll fit?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

I'm also curious. How much did the replicas cost you? and are they heavier than stock wheels?

With the TSW's 40mm offset, the 305 tire would stick out over an inch more than the stock 285 size on the stock 56mm offset wheel.

The 305 with a 40mm offset will clear on the inside just fine.

Some forum members have successfully used a 305-wide tire on the stock 56mm offset rear wheel.

The z06 spyder wheels are the same offset but I need to verify backpacking.

The replica /DR combo is about 3pds heavier than the stock rears/ps2s.

The TSW NURBURGRINGS combo will be about 4pds lighter than the factory setup

Cheers
Chris

Did you order the weld rts wheels like junkies setup? and will this setup slow top end speed down? vs lets say 18 tsw nurburgrings with 305 35 18 MT

I doubt it. I was running the Z06 replicas with MT305 DR's. The difference is 17 vs. 18 (quicker rotation for better grip) and then the 45 series tire, again, for better grip.

For my top end numbers on a 1320' (if I can ever get there) shouldnt be effected.

That being said, TSW's are a nice lightweight wheel. I plan on getting a set for the road course...

I run the TSW's for road course duty and they seem to be holding up well.

I might be putting my set up for sale soon, depending on if I keep my V or not...
