How much do you think a friend should pay for a 2012 Black Diamond Sedan, 7000 miles, Recaro, Ultraview, automatic, black wheels. Perfect condition. Stickered around $73,xxx. Thanks!

Got a pic of it? Sounds like the one I was looking at that was auctioned.

A friend? Buy from a friend?

I'd say 56-57

$56K? I wish. That's what I wanted to buy it for. I was looking at a similar one for $58K but they sent it to auction instead. I doubt they got more than what I offered.

Well I'm trading mine in and I got a dealer quote for $51k and I told them to shove it. Friend is potentially interested too. Would rather trade and save the tax.

Just add on the tax to the $51K offer and you'll break even. But $51K is way too low for a 2012.

No tax, my trade is of greater value.

To sell it to your friend. If tax would be $5K on the other car, then tell your friend $56K, $51K trade + $5K tax, to break even or a few bucks more if you want to come out ahead.

Went to another dealer and got offered $57,000 trade in off the bat...f*ck that other dealer.

More like $60K and it was w/o recaro's. But there are quite a few deals on leftover 2012s. I passed on a used 2012 for $58K, seemed like a good deal, but not when new is only a few K more.
