Considering Bose build quality and the expense of fixing anything with a Bose name on it, that sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Ive always wondered how much of the actual audio system in BOSE Audio vehicles is actually MADE BY Bose, or if they just engineer the soundspace and build the speakers with headunits built by Alpine or something

I have many Bose products in my home and have had many cars with Bose also. I have a set of 901's that are almost 20 years old (not my main sound source) that are indestructable. My Escalade haas the waveguide subs which seems to be bullet proof also after years of abuse. The only Bose product I ever had to replace was in a 93 Z-28 and even then it was only 70 bucks? What has your experience been?
