Will 2007 and later TPM sensors work with my 2005 ESV? I have a solid opportunity to upgrade to 20" 2007 rims and tires with the original TPM's will they work on my ESV or do I need to swap mine to the newer rims?

If they don't work would I be better off to just buy new TPMs that will work?

You may be better off swapping the sensors from the old rims to the new ones so you don't have to worry.

I can not recall where I read it, but I don't believe the newer TPM sensors are compatible with our body style. Do some more research to make sure, but I'm betting you will need to buy new sensors. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me to put 7 year old ones from your current ones in.

I wasn't clear earlier that no the ones for the third gen body style won't work with the second gen body style due to the difference in the modules and if you don't want to buy a new set you can swap out the ones you have now but it is best to buy a new set so you don't have to worry about the batteries going dead later on.
(had a busy day so I am making some slip ups due to it)

I think if I do this I will go new, I have one of mine going in and out now.

Who has the best price on these things now?

The 2007 sensors do not work for sure on the older models. I have 07 wheels on my 04. Love the look but pricey to get rid of that stupid warning light.

I also notice the chrome peeling off the wheels in the inside of the barrel. In the rear wheel

That is on mine also

I've been told this as well, that the 07+ TPMS sensors are NOT backwards compatible with 02-06 models.

It is true.
