Haha... no, it's not the white house. I thought it was a museum, but it is the previous owner house... you guys wouldn't believe the cars in this man's garage... including a testarossa, a diablo, 2 MB, one 70 something collectible lincoln convertible white in white (a-ma-zing!). 2 hayabusas, and 3 aprilias (well, 2 now).
This bike is an aprilia rs50. I think RB or somebody else has a similar one...

If you ever get back there, I would appreciate well beyond words that would fail me a couple photos of the "70s Lincoln Convertible" ~ I believe that I know what that car is, and I have written about them and am crazy about them. THAT is the RAREST car in his stable. Thanks in advance

I know!!! that is the one that caught my eye... too bad I have a lousy memory and I don't rememeber the specific model, but this guy said that some lincoln organization gas giving him around 240 000 for it. It was something beautiful...

$240,000.00 -or- $24,000.00 ???? If it's $240,000.00 it's NOT what I was thinking of ... but then again, it would not be from the 1970s.....

Car I am speaking of is/was made from 1976 thru 1979 beginning with a Lincoln Continential Coupe to which the roof was removed, quarter panels leaded in, windshield tilted backward and a 1974 Ford Galaxie LTD Convertible roof installed. It became one georgious car!! Made by Andrew H. Hotton's A.H.A. customizers in Bellevue, Michigan, at that time, later moved to Canada, and eventually sold. They made many short runs for FoMoCo including Grand Marquis & LTD stretched sedans, Lincoln Limousines and 1979-1982 Mercury Capri Convertibles. Top Quality Manufacturer, when they did a car it LOOKED factory Ford.

He said 240 000. If my memory does not fail me, he said only 800 of that specific model were made. Any ideas, Sandy?

Not a clue !! But NOTHING from the 70's is worth anything remotely near that figure !!

Depends how badly somebody wants something. Who would have thunk that a 1970 Hemi Barracuda would bring $150,000 at a Barret-Jackson auction but it happens.

I was offered 4 times what my Caddy is worth because the guy really wanted it. :hmm:

If my Dad had kept his 442 W-30 (only one with that combo of options and hood scoop color) with 12,000 orig. miles who knows what it would bring today, especially with a desperate buyer. It went for a measily $25,000 Cdn. last year and I think a car in that condition could go tripple, especially an all orig. rare musclecar! The fiberglass hood was showing some age by minute cracking from being stored all that time through winters, etc. Reggie Jackson even supposedly called the previous owner but he wouldn't budge! He could have named his price IMO.

It all depends on the guys wallet, which is why it's hard to go by a blue book in some cases.
