I had a 2005 CTS-V that I had skip shift feature disabled on the 6 speed transmission. I Am looking at a 2012 CTS-V 6 Speed manual and was wondering if this is also on that transmission. Thanks

It's on there, but most people here never even run into it. I was going to disable it, but didn't need to, it just doesn't come in while I'm driving.

I have to drive incredibly easy for it to activate .

I have encountered it a few times. Not enough to worry about bypassing it. When I'm going that slow, it is not a big deal to simply pull it back into 2nd.

Never had it activate even when driving slow through the gated community. Don't worry about it.

Not an issue...

The speed band and throttle band for it are really tight. Have to be light throttle and basically shift at exactly 17 MPH. It might be like 16-18. But yeah, you rarely run into it.

Just curious guys...

When it happens to me, I get no light, or no information informing me its going to happen... Kind of frusterating sometimes... Should a light turn on, or info show up on display?

Engagement happens rarely and very quickly. As everyone has said, it's unobtrusive, easy to keep from happening and a non issue.

All that happened on the V1 was a little 》4 on the DIC. I'm not aware of any notification on our Vs, but it doesn't matter. If you drive slowly enough to get it to kick in, 4th is plenty torquey enough to continue your progress. It's not like you can't tell you're in 4th...

It's there but hardly ever comes on...they've really tuned it well. (Maybe 1 in every 300 first to second shifts at very low speeds)

I think there's an indicator? Although I'm not really watching the gauges putzing around to say that I've seen it to know.
