Took my car in to Findlay Cadillac in Henderson a few weeks ago for the complimentary oil change, and a few minor warranty items. I had the service writer sit in the car so I could point out something. While we were there, I showed him a 1/2" or so cut in a A-pillar fabric. It was there on delivery, but I had other issues then so I forgot to mention it. It's been annoying me ever since. I told him that it had been there since new, but knew he couldn't warranty it as I've had the car almost a year now.

He took one look at it and said, "It's a defect in the material."
I said, "No, it's been cut. Either in assembly or transit, I suspect."
He again says, "Nope. It's defective. We'll replace it under warranty."

At that point it finally sunk in. Nice...

yep, that does sound like a defect in assembly. I've got sorta the same thing with one of my seats, on the passenger seat you can see the yellow foam in the lower corner, it is not tucked in enough, at some point I'll mention when the car is back to the dealer, preferably the dealer I go to near my place in Florida where I live winters, they seem pretty good there.
