Am told my fuel pump is about to go cuz it makes a distinctive buzzing (I gather you're not supposed to hear it...). Would this affect pressure to the injectors or show any other signs? Thanks!

The noise may not mean it's failing. peteski 12-09-04, 01:42 AM My fuel pump has been loud since I bought my 93 Eldo (2 years ago and 20k miles). I don't want to jinx myself, but it is still working just fine. I sounds louder once the tank is half full or less. I guess it is probably not submerged at that point. IIRC, there is a Service Bulletin for loud fuel pumps. But it is only a nuisance problem - not defective pumps. Peteski | |
