: Cadillac V Series Performance Academy - Autobahn Country Club in Joliet IL Sept. 30th

08-16-12, 12:53 PM
Just received an invite this morning via email. I've been wanting to do one of these for a long time so I already registered/paid. Sept 30th all day track event. I believe you'll get to drive all three Vs, get professional track instruction, plenty of seat time, in car video, and meet/chat with cadillac racing drivers. Should be an excellent event put on by Cadillac. If the previous reviews I've read here are any indication, I think it will be well worth the money (I believe the price went up since last year).

Anyone else get an invite? Maybe it's open to anyone...

If you're going, please post up in this thread. Maybe we can organize a meet for dinner or something the night before.

Got one too. Trying to decide which date/location works.
Seems to be a bit redundant if you've been on track before but wouldn't mind talking with Johnny or Andy

Agreed, it's probably not ideal for you guys that have tracked their cars more than a few times.

Booked my room at Harrahs Casino of Joliet. I think it's about 15 minutes from track. If anyone else on the forum is going let me know.

I got the invite as well, but I did this last year when it was still a pilot and was only $556 (now $950 based on my email). The location I attended was in Pahrump, NV. The event is first class and you'll have a good time for sure! You'll have direct access to the whole V team, from VP to Engineer to the V drivers (Johnny and Andy). You'll also have a lot of seat time with instructors. Have fun..and remember..road racing is highly addictive!!

I can't say enough about how awesome this event was. Top notch all around and very well organized. They kept us busy the entire day. I think I'm addicted as I'm already thinking about my next track day.

We had TONS of track time in all 3 Vs. The instructors were great and really pushed you to the limit and had you push the cars to the limit. These cars hold corners so well and the brakes are just unbelievable. I knew they were capable but you just don't realize how capable until you get them on a track. If you've never done it, GET TO IT! You won't be sorry.

The autobahn country club was a fun track. I think it is rather large at around 3.5 miles. We got to learn the north and south parts individually before putting the entire thing together. Hope to get my in car video soon.

The skid pad module was a blast and we even did some drag racing with performance stopping challenges. The cars held up very well and loved the beautiful 60-69 degree weather throughout the day. I was very impressed with the wagons as they felt just as awesome as the coupes and sedans around corners. Such a balanced vehicle.

I'm working on the Florida event as well - hope to know for sure in the next few days.
