Good ol' 007 has been with us in film for 50 years and has given us over at least three generations of "Bond Girls," wondered if you had a favorite one. Of course we will all be dating ourselves, most likely, by our choices, but i thought it might be fun anyway.

I was going to vote for Elke Sommer, but it turns out she wasn't a "Bond Girl" (although she should have been one!). Anyway let the fun begin!

I always liked Famke Janssen as Xenia Onnatopp. She looked great in black leather, but really Famke gave such a great and chilling performance in that movie. That character was written as kind of being over the top, but man did Famke just deliver on that completely self asorbed, psychopathic murderer.

Also gotta mention Honor Blackman as Ms. ***** Galore. Just simply for that one scene when Bond awakens in the airplane to find Ms Galore standing over him:

James Bond: Who are you?
***** Galore: My name is ***** Galore.
James Bond: I must be dreaming

I've always been fond of Jill St. John as Tiffany Case, from Diamonds Are Forever.

Never seen a Bond movie other than Casino Royale, and that was puke-worthy. I love Sean Connery though.

Casino Royale was not a "Bond movie". You need to go back to Dr. No and begin your education in real, fun honest adventure movies instead of the contrived mindless cartoonish slop that passes for "reality" today.

Better yet - Find all the old Ian Fleming novels and read them before you watch the Connery movies - let your mind be your DVD player once in a while.

Honor Blackman, Jill St.John

Famke Janssen is quite a lovely woman. She is quiet and nothing like Xenia in person. Which makes her role in Goldeneye the more impressive...

Jill St John is also a personal favorite of mine. Her curves were killer...

But, really, how can anyone ever top Jane Seymour? Silliness to argue otherwise.

For me, a close runner up is Izabella Scorupco.

And I thoroughly enjoy the tug of war between Talisa Soto and Carey Lowell...

Teri Hatcher for me... loved her in Lois and Clark and she even looked great in Desperate Housewives as well.

Eh, she was a cliche pick. Besides, she was a quick fling, not really a Bond girl...

I disagree. Although Teri's role was brief and her character had no real substance, it was clearly established early in the movie that she and Bond had been passionate lovers. That past, plus the betrayal of her husband to Bond is what led to an early death.

Meh, still cliche and not worthy of being in the film...

Luciana Paluzzi, Thunderball.

My buddy's grandad caught heat for taking us impressionable youths on the bus to see such a riske' matinee as James Bond. We were seven. We loved it. The Rockford Coronado Theater is one of those ornate old downtown theaters that always had lead-in cartoons, etc.

I cherish that memory to this day!

Yeah, a 007 movie in a "real" movie theater that was a treat! The spooks in my trick and I always made it a point to all go see each new Bond movie together, ..... but we had to make do with military installation theaters. We all enjoyed James's fun and games to the hilt .... and then got down to the real games of espionage the next day!

A popular men's magazine did some nice pictorials of Bond girls in the 80s, or so I've heard...

They did some pictorials of Bond Girls in the sixties and seventies too. You can be sure that those images were much enjoyed by men on both sides of the Iron Curtain!

While we are about it, let's not forget Shirley Eaton in "Goldfinger!"

I don't really have a favorite bond girl. They were all so fine. I feel sorry for the younger guys who have been exposed to what the bond movies have become now and have only been able to see the classic films on a TV screen. I was too young myself to see the beginning of the series first run. I was lucky that when I first moved to Middleton WI in 1971 the local theater would play a Bond movie every Sat at noon for $1. I got to see all of them in order in a darkened theater on a grand screen as they were intended. I know some of the early Bond films seem hokey to today's standards, but in 1971 to a fourteen year old they were intoxicating and still hold that charm to me.

Let's face Ursula Andress was the prototype, the rest, for better or worse, were just waves in her wake!
