: Help with radar placement on 2013 CTS-V

I have an escort 8500 with an invisicord from my C6 Corvette that I want to use in the CTS-V. I looked behind the mirror but there was no visible plug where the pins would go into from the invisicord. What kind of mount would I use and can the inviscord be used on the CTS?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Om my 2012 here is what worked for me There is a red wire between a green and green/white wires. This is +12
volts switched by ignition on.
The black/white wire is a ground. Zip tie the cord to the wiring harness

Thank you for your help. Is the wiring harness under the black plastic box secured to the window?

I had the invisicord on my C6Z06 also. I was also wanting to use it on my CTSV. I had no idea the harness was under the black box on the window. I was looking and looking for the plug and wondering how the mirrored was wired up. Glad I stumbled onto this thread.

Maybe a stupid question, but how is that black box exactly secured to the window? Does it just pop off or is there a screw somewhere securing it?

if you're referring to the radar detector there is a special rear-view mirror mount sold by blend mount. they also sell the cord.

I believe I found the wires you are mentioning but can you remember how you unplugged the harness that is right on the top as I can't seem to get the plug out to use my invisicord.

If you have a 2012 maybe also an 11? It has a little tab you push down and pull,Very hard to get a finger or maybe small screwdriver on it you only have to push slightly and pull.

What is that just above the tune knob in front of your radio/nav screen?

it's called a quatalstop*. it punches holes for time travel into other dimensions.

I have a 2013 and I found the tab you were mentioning. It really is a bear to get at as it's on the top of the plug and after pushing it down I was able to get the plug out. The only problem is that the invisicord I was going to use was from my C6 corvette which looks like it has pins much to big to fit into the tiny slots that are on the plug wires. I understand there might be another inviscord which I'll try and order.
Thanks for all your help.
