Are the little "dots"(sensors) clean? That's just a guess or maybe you have that's faulty

My 2009 did this once and and I hand washed the sensors in the back bumper and it hasn't done it since.

Yea man, fortunately/unfortunately, you have about two possibilities.

1) A good wash might take care of it

2) Bad sensor(s) -- since there are so many aftermarket kits out there, I wouldn't think the OEM sensors would be that expensive, but I've never had to replace one.

I had many cars with this feature and they all do this... in the winter! Snow accumulates on the back bumper and sets these things off. So, given it is NOT winter in our part of the world, I will assume it is because the bumper is dirty. Maybe a bad sensor; however, with my last five cars all with this feature, never a failure other than the snow as I mentioned. These things seem to be pretty reliable.
