Hey guy's anyone put 20" X 12" wide rims on rear on sedan and if so whats the widest size that will fit. I know offset is going to play a role.

We put on 20x13, but that was a wide body that was flared 2.5 inches. Thats a pretty aggressive rim width.

Thanks,

So, I'm curious, what is the widest wheel/tire combo you guys have successfully stuffed under the rear of a sedan without body modifications?

Thx!

i meant to say earlier, what is the widest tire that will fit on the rear with a 11 0r 12 inch rear rim, what offset would i need?? I also have been pricing up rims, wow they are expensive. Are there any good quality rims out there reasonable. all the ones I like are 1000 bucks each. Any info would be appreciated.

Forgestar makes a good quality inexpensive wheel.

I just got home from the wheel shop i have been going to for years, and they said and I witnessed them calling multiple wheel compaines to double check a 10 inch is the widest they can fit with no modifications to the sedan but they have put up to 11 on the coupes. They said 10.5 or larger is too aggressive and would need to roll the fenders act... to ensure no rubbing what so ever

10.5" can be done but the offset and tire choice are BIG factors in fitting without rub. 11" probably can be done, but I think they may not be flush. I think they just would rather not go through the abundance of trial and error needed...

My Forgestars are 10.5 rear and 9.5 front.

20x10.5 will fit with the right offsets, 20x11 requires a perfect offset but will not require body work.

We have done enough of these cars to be able to properly offset wheels.

Greg, what tires (and sizes) do you recommend on your cars with these wheels?

It depends on the car/customer usually it is a pirelli 305/30/20 or a toyo proxes 4 295/30/20
