What size tires would be the best for 20x8.5 and 20x10.5 inch wheels? Want the thickest side wall possible before rubbing issues. Thanks

There are people running 20" wheels with /30 sidewalls. Some people are running 22" with a stretched tire and most of the STS's with 20s still have a pretty sizable wheel gap so I doubt you would have to worry about the sidewall too much.

i intend on dropping mine with the D3 springs...will there be any rubbing with staggered 20s

Members have gone a bit wider with the right offset. Wheel alignment will be problematic but the lowered look is cool.

They have a forum where you can ask questions like this (they may ask for measurements -- fender to ground on F/R) and they'll tell you what tire options you can run. -- whether you have the option for stretch, have to stretch, or can use standard width tires with a decent sidewall.

The thing most forget about wheel fitment is the offset. I have 22x10 infront and 22x11 out back and can ride with 4 adults and it doesn't touch at all, it looks better with 4 people in it because sts's sit funny from the factory I want to lower my car too but I doubt springs will make the tires wear out that quickly
