For the 2013 MY CTS, it appears the Powertrain Limited Warranty, Roadside Assistance and Courtesy Transportation warranty coverages are changing to 6 years/70,000 miles instead of 5 years/100,000 miles.

Taken from the Cadillac web page:

WARRANTY AND COVERAGE

Cadillac 4-year/50,000-mile Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty with no deductible
Cadillac 6-year/70,000-mile Transferable Powertrain Limited Warranty with no deductible for 2013 models (5-years/100,000-miles for 2012 and older models).
Cadillac 6-year/70,000-mile Roadside Assistance for 2013 models (5-years/100,000-miles for 2012 and older models).
Cadillac 6-year/70,000-mile Courtesy Transportation for 2013 models (5-years/100,00-miles for 2012 and older models)

For "weekend" drivers it adds 1 year of warranty.

For most of us we lost.....I do a bit less than 15k/year so I lost. Not a good sign. We shall see the reliability of the future Cadillac cars. If the reliability is there this change in warranty won't mean much....

They probably did cost analysis and found out that warranty costs went up considerably after 70,000 miles. After all, why lower the mileage if the reliability is there?

My service manager once told me that he can usually get them to cover a item if the vehicle is within the time limits of the warranty even if over the miles but once you pass the time, not a darn thing he can do.
