: Center Console Applique Removal

Hi all, new CTS-V owner, new to the forums because wow, you guys really know your sh*t!

I've dug through the CTS boards quite extensively, and found a lot of projects involving removal of the center appliques (that run along the shifter), and even a good Lockpick install vid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gb6hTgC2Tk) that details it, but for the life of me, I can't get my appliques to budge. I have trim tools, but the spacing between the trim and the side panel is really tight and I can't see or feel any clips anywhere. I even have the sm pages from the rear ambient lighting thread. Anyone have any tricks/tips/videos on how to actually remove these pieces without damaging the wood and/or leather?

I started at the back and used a very small hook tool between/parallel with the leather and once it went in far enough I turned it in slightly to catch the plastic as I pulled out. Mine was very tough to get started.

Thanks guys - finally got it, wasn't expecting it to take that much force, but they came out unscathed. Guess this means I'm ready to install headers myself now...
