Hey guys,

I'm moving from wisconsin to North Dakota in a few weeks, and I have to drive my hearse. Any tips on getting her ready for the long haul? I just changed the oil and checked all the other fluids, all new belts, new pads and shoes, I got a bottle fuel of system cleaner to dump in the tank and I'm going to replace the air filter before I leave. Did I miss anything? It's about 520 miles so it's her longest trip yet.

Just make sure your tires are full ..should be good to go......

I check out a car by driving it a couple thousand miles near home first.

You have replaced the OEM timing chain? Its really hot, have you got
a temp gauge? good luck, Bruce Roe

A temp gauge would be a good idea

Does the temp gauge hook up to the intake manifold? If so where at?

Look for the location of the idiot light temp switch; it could replace that
or add another sensor. I have been known to drill & tap pipe threads into
intake manifolds.

Gauge can be electric, but I use the gas tube type that works with engine off.
