: 2008 cadillac cts A/C, navigation and media control panel not functioning

First thing is first, usually when i turn on my car the navigation pops up automatically. Well, lately it hasn't been doing that. You can hear it trying to come up but it just stays down and goes to the radio. If i press the NAV button to raise it, it doesn't do anything. Then for some odd reason my AC buttons are not functioning either. I press the on button, the auto button and nothing. If I press it hard enough sometimes it will work, but most of the time it doesn't. When it does work if I try to raise or lower the temp the buttons it doesn't function either. When I press auto on the AC panel I guess it thinks I'm pressing DESTINATION because it says that the screen must be up for this feature to work. The power button for the radio doesn't work either. Pretty much nothing on the front panel works. Any ideas what may be happening and what I can possibly do to fix it on my own?

Thanks (:

Wish I could offer some help but it sounds like it is time for a trip to the Dealership.

I have a very similar problem with my 2008 CTS. It started with mine when it filled with water during tropical storm Betty. I have an insurance claim, but now the Claude Nolan states that it's unrelated, although it coincidentally started at the day after the storm. Apparently it's the AC or HVAC control module (according to Claude Nolan Cadillac), but they also said my problem wasn't water related initially. I'm losing faith in them quickly. I'm also losing faith in my car. If this isn't water related and all of these electric gremlins are common place, it's time to sell. When I press the up button on the A/C it changes the radio station, turns off traction control and the transmission shifts. Apparently all are related to that panel. Doesn't make sense to me.
