The final outcome for this issue validates the value of Major Guard GMPP. My vehicle went into service" in late 2005.

The GMPP is worth its weight in Gold for these vehicles. I am so glad I listened to the advice of Texas Jim and others.
The NEW engine runs soooooo sweet! It is smooth quiet and powerful. I am carefully breaking in the "New Vehicle", no jack rabbit starts, keep it under 70 etc for the first 1K miles.
One other difference is I think my dipstick moved from the rear of engine to the front on the replacement. Also I am not sure what the warranty is on the new motor. :suspense:
