2005 STS V8 AWD, my question is, the large gap between the grille and facia, is it normal? I measuerd it @ 1/2 in. Clean car fax an all. The rest of the car is perfect.

The hood to fascia gap on my CTS increased dramatically after driving across the Mojave desert in 117 degree heat. Apparenly the fascia softened and drooped.

There are some rubber screw pads that control hood position that can be adjusted to lower the hood and narrow the gap, especially if the hood is standing a little above the fenders.

I have the same problem with mine ever since i put an aftermarket grille in...my hood is also lower than fenders near the front of the car so I'm really stuck :(.... Btw nice grille, what kind is it?

Grille came with the car, I though it was OEM. I did have to replace the electric fans, maybe the facia got hot. I had the car about 3mo. so I am not sure of the history.

I can slip my little finger in the gap on the passenger but not on the drivers side. It has been like that since the day i got the car new. However, the edges of the hood and fender all have perfect alignment. My neighbor down the street had an sts company car back in 07 and it had the same issue. I still have the stock grill.
