Hello everyone I have enjoyed the forums the past couple of weeks, but still need a little help in deciding which to buy.i am thinking I would like an 08 because of the wind noise on the 07 ,but was wondering if I should know of any other problems.I am thinking 08 because they seem to be in my price range. One last question ,what is the warranty on escalades ? i have seen several different things posted .
I have an 08 and the powertrain is good for 5yr or 100k miles whichever comes first. Depending on its in service date you may be completely out of warranty. Mine was considered in service in sep of 07 so I have until sep of this year left. Hope this helps. Warranty seems to be a touchy subject around here Lol!
I would certainly buy the newest vehicle I could....if you can get an 08 for a price close to an 07, I would sure go for that one. I have seen several posts about wind noise on the 07. I traded my 05 for an 07 and it is by far a nicer and quieter vehicle...mine has almost no wind noise. In fact, I was surprised that other folks have an issue...mine is quiet as a church mouse.
Good luck with your new caddy.

My personal opinion is if your not or if an 09 is out of your price range than I say 07 that's if miles are good etc. when I first got on this forum some would talk about wind noise I don't get it in mine.
As said get the newest truck with the least mileage you can, it may take some looking but there are good deals on low mileage trucks, it just takes some work

Thanks guys . Also I've searched everywhere and can't get any solid idea of what I should expect to get for mpg or miles to a tank any input would be great.
Certainly, they are NOT economy kings, but not too awful bad.
I had an 05 with the 6.0L and averaged a solid 16.4, and my 07 with the 6.2 L gets about 15.3 (only had it a week, so it may get better)....I live in a rural area withoug a lot of city type stop and go driving. I drive a lot of country 2 lane roads and hiways, and some city driving.
Also, I drive pretty easy...generally about 5 mph over the speed limit and easy on the starts and stops..
My son's Silverado 4x4 with a 5.3L gets around 14 mpg. My wife's Edge get 15-16 if she drives it, 19-22 if I drive it!!! Go figure.
My EXT weight something like 5000 pounds, so I never expected much more than 14 mpg, so I am happy (well, sort of...ha)

That's not as bad as I thought . I am going from a murano to this hopefully, and I seem to get about 18 miles a gallon now. We do about 5 miles of highway and the rest city . It's not that I can't afford I always over research everything and don't want to kill my self.if you don't mi d me asking how many mes to a tank do you get??

09 esv. Average 9.7 MPG. HWY 21 to 23. New air filter, all Syn fluids. E85 you loose about 2MPG.

Glad you're considering an Escalade, Ofourcobra! I see you've been getting great input from other owners, and I wanted to let you know I checked my resources and found the 2007 has an estimated fuel economy of 13mpg city and 19mpg highway.
The EPA-estimate fuel economy for the 2008 (city/highway):
Escalade 2WD: 12 / 19
Escalade AWD: 12 / 18
Escalade ESV 2WD: 12 / 19
Esca lade ESV AWD: 12 / 18
Escalade EXT 2WD: 12 / 19
Escalade EXT AWD: 12 / 18
Hope this helps! I'm available via email at Katie_Lucille@gmexpert.com if you have any further questions.
