Supposedly a friend of mine is supposed to be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday night.

He was in NYC doing some shopping with his wife. They wanted to buy a DVD recorder to transfer their daughter's childhood videos from VHS to DVD.

They sent him to the back of the store and told them to ask for Larry. Larry turns out to be a geeky guy with some of those video camera glasses.

Anyway, Dean (my friend) explains to Larry what he wants, but Larry assumes that the real purpose is to copy porn video tapes to DVD. Larry keeps going back to "PORN" every time Dean asks about the product.

Finally Dean gets really pissed and leaves the store.

It turns out to be a Howie Mandel candid camera gag.

They may or may not use his video, but it made for a hilarious story when he told it today.

Dean is the guy I teamed up with last year to win the Rotary Club golf tournament.

Crazy Canucks! ;) I'll be watching.

Am I the only one to think Howie got a little freaky-looking shaving his head, etc? :cookoo: :D

The last time Howie did anything worth watching was in St Elsewhere

Howie Mandel is stupid. Or at least the crap he does on Leno is. He needs to get a job or something. :rant2:

So far he made millions by "not having a real job." He must be doing something right. :yup:

I watched Leno like I usually do and didn't see that bald guy anywhere. Leno did have something to take his place, the inventions thing. That just made me mad because I was sold on all the ones they were not-sold on and vice versa. :helpless:

And Gene Siskel died, the movie guy is Ebert and the new other movie guy is Roper or something like that.

Sorry, I knew one of them died, my mistake.

I don't think it was on. :(

I taped it last night just in case. They may decide not to use it, but it was a helluva funny story the way Dean told it.

They put the good Howie stuff on the website. Hopefully if it ever does get on I'll be able to download it and watch.

I prefer Letterman, so I rarely watch Leno unless there's a hot babe on.

Didn't see your friend, either. Maybe they'll play it sometime later.

I have one thing to say to that. Carrot-Top!
These idiots being successful in ANY way only serves to prove how stupid our society has become.

I heard yesterday that Barry Manilow signed a deal with a Las Vegas Casino to perform every night for 3 years, 1,095 shows for three hundred and ten million. $283,000 @ show. Jay Leno just paid cash for a 2004 McLaren F1 at Three Million Dollars.

(and) My idiot neighbor was soooo jealious of me, when I bought my 1993 Sixty Special, and damn near croaked over the '03 Town Car! Go figure !!

Oprah Winfrey has 5 homes & a Ranch, 3 Bentley Azure Convertibles and a Thunderbird 2004, and multi millions in jewels/diamonds.

Too bad he's so damn ugly! :p He's funny on stage with all his toys, but when he started doing those long distance phone commercials that made no sense I lost respect for him.

People demand entertainment.
