I searched the forums but could not find what is probably an obvious answer.

Nobody knows?

I was wondering the same thing. I have a sour smell in my AC when I first start it up so I've heard to spray Lysol in the return air vent to kill the bacteria in there.

Does anyone know where the AC drain tube is located? I heard that might be clogged causing the sour smell.

Turn on your AC, look for the water dripping by the front right tire. You should be able to locate the drain hose. To help with the smell, turn off your AC the last few minutes of your trip, this should allow the water to dry up off the coil and help prevent the smell. If you do find the drain hose, you can squirt water up it to help unclog any dirt. WARNING... Do not spray full force or a lot of water, just enough to send pressure through the hose and let it drain, if you see a lot of crud draining, do it a few times until all clear.

Another tip, with the fan on hi, make sure recirculate is NOT on, spray Lysol through the air intake under the windshield wipers.
