: battery disconnected, how do I get into my own trunk?

2011 cts-v coupe - Disconnected the battery to do some work, closed the trunk, now I can't get back into it. I read online reviews saying we have 60/40 split seats, and it feels like there is a gap on the drivers side, but I cannot figure out how to fold the seats down from inside the cabin to reach the emergency trunk release. The manual is not helpful, it says look for tabs on the sides if the seats fold down, and I don't see any tabs. I'm also not seeing how to open any pass through in case we don't have 60/40. Recaro seat package if that matters. Thanks.

Will it work to put the key in the trunk under the chrome trim right next to the backup camera?

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you. I'm in.

Definitely looks like a seam in the seats for 60/40, how do those suckers fold down?

Not sure what your ride is, but the V's don't have the 60/40 split. I think the regular CTS's do. The V's only have that next to useless pass-through behind the armrest in the rear seat. Also - I suppose you could open that and reach through to the emergency trunk release. But I guess that is moot as you are already in.

Does it? Or did they just use the split seats but not include the hardware to make them fold?

Yes both rear seats fold down by pulling on the tabs.

Not on my car they don't - not on the 2009+ sedan. At least i don't think. My genI cts-v had the 60/40 fold down rear seats, but not the second gen.
