What's everyone's normal operating temp? Mine example, today it was 90 hot and humid, rolling in 5th it runs at 197, hit some traffic with stop and go, 237....also to add a side note...while shutting down when around 230, at start up after say 5-10 mins, temp is at 249-50, infotainment says let engine idle..5 seconds or so it drops to 230? What's that al about? Flush and fill?

Did you also see a "Check Coolant Level" message when the "Idle Engine" message came through your DIC? Looking at the owner's manual, if you did then there may be something going on with your vehicle that should be looked into. If you only got the "Idle Engine" message and did not see or hear any steam coming from your engine, then there may not be anything serious happening. Sometimes the engine can get a little too hot ("High" is considered 257F (125C) per the manual) when you climb a long hill on a hot day, stop after high-speed driving, or idle for long periods in traffic. Idling does allow the engine to cool - did the temperature raise again after you idled your vehicle? Has this occurred again since your last post?
