I was driving and i hear tapping so i looked under the front of the car and there is a black plastic thing hanging. The part toward the front is still attached, but the back part is hanging on the ground. How or what do I need to fix it because im not sure whats missing if there is there something missing or does it lock in somehow?
Pretty sure that's your splash shield. It's designed to keep water spraying up into the engine bay and air from curling up under the car and blowing your hood off. There are two types of plastic rivets (one short and one long) that are utilized all over your engine bay and wheel wells to keep those plastic sheets together. Apparently, you somehow lost the one (the long type) that goes in the big hole in the center of the splash shield panel, toward the back (the hole that's at a 45 degree angle).
If you can't find the part # yourself, you could either "borrow" one from another, less critical location on the bottom of the engine bay, or call Luke at Lindsay Cadillac. He'll set you up. They're about $1 each.
yeah after losing that back plug twice the zip ties will be going on this week
