: Closing in on 100,000

I have a 2007 base model and I am about to turn 100,000 miles. I was wondering what to expect in the next 50,000 miles. I have been on schedule with maintenance (oil, air filter (actually it is a volant so it is ok), ect). I had all the fluids changed about 10,000 miles ago and new pads and rotors about 5000 miles ago. I was just wondering what big expenses might be coming up, what to watch for and what I can do to avoid problems. I have this fear gaskets/seals will have to be replaced at great expense. What is the secret to getting very high mileage out of these cars?

IMO, 100,000 miles is not a whole lot for these vehicles. My 06 went 140,000 and the running gear was as solid as it was when new. Thie biggest headache is the electronics and gadgets. My heated seas quit working, a speaker blew out, a rear window started to go up slowly...

My son has an 02 Silverado Z71 with over 200,000 miles and it runs strong...seats are warn, A/C quit, and other stuff. Starts right up in any weather and runs great.

Bottom line is that the Escalade will probably last well over 200,000 miles with good care, but there will certainly be a lot of annoying things along the way....drive and enjoy.

I just purchased my 2nd Escalade - an 07 EXT with 67,000 miles....I hope to drive it for at least 5 years

I have heard that these "trucks" do last. I had a 05 EXT was just about to turn 95K when i traded it for a 09 EXT, got a good deal I believe, but the 09 has 130K, yeah i know thats alot of miles but I'm hoping it runs trouble free for 3 4 years, I don't put a lot of miles on a year and hope it will balance out in a few years. I paid 24K for the 09 got 15.5 for my 05. I was planning on moving up to an 07 but I am rolling the dice on this 09, hope things keep on rolling!!!

I have an 09 hybrid and a GM engineer that tests these vehicles claims 300k miles for these SUVs . the hybrid battery is also tested to last up to 300k miles. a replacement battery with core is only $1600! I'll take it.

I have about 112,000 miles. Running strong. I just had spark plugs changed, A/C recharged and a few minor things done. I tow a 20 ft boat on occasion with no problems. All my windows, electronics still work fine. I have no gripes. I use premium fuel because it runs better. I don't mind the few exta pennies at the pump.

well , non related maybe but . i have '99 town car stretch limo at 201k miles.same engine and transmission.running just fine.had a 97 town car limo with 300k and was running fine till someone totaled it.
so with the escalade as long as you keep doing the routine maintenance and not push the truck to its limits you should be golden till 300k.
