When should the Spark Plugs be changed on my 2006 STS V...it has 109000 miles on it. What other maintence is needed at the 100000 mile mark?

If they're original at 109k change them..your owners manual should list other recommended 100k service items.

Sorry to bump an old thread, However; I have a question--What's the difference between "1st" and "2nd" design spark plugs?

Thanks for your time to who ever answers!

So GMPartsDirect.com replied to my emails and gave me 2 different part numbers:

12597464 SPARK PLUG (USED ON VEH W/41-990 12597464 SPK PLUGS)
12565996 SPARK PLUG (USED ON VEH W/41-988 12565996 SPK PLUGS)

...now whats the difference between em? which ones are better? They are very unclear and I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I need em ASAP as I have already exceeded the 100K mark.
