any issues with removing all badging? any holes i should know about behind any of the badges? also, for the front grille, is there an inexpensive replacement grille without the crest/badge? As I look at black out options, will it be cheaper to find a black grille set (upper lower and fogs) or considering I want all the chrome in matte black, should I just paint it all? For paint, I know many here are a fan of plasti-dip but I would prefer a matte black paint. is it possible to do all the chrome while its on the car or do all the pieces have to be removed? has anyone attempted a smoked headlight or is it too opaque?

There are alignment holes on grille emblem and on rear trunk. All others use just adhesive tape. I removed all of mine...

I would also like to know about painting the chrome trim whether or not it needs to be removed

I used blackout trim tape on mine.

I would consider blackout trim vinyl or plastidip. My window trim is painted Black body color. After a few years, I have had a couple of pieces flake off. On the front grill (also painted) it has some chips that need to be touched up. With tape or vinyl, you can easily fix any issues. Same with plastidip. For the grill, I think the plastidip would be more durable and stand up better to small rocks etc. The painted chrome looks awesome and I love it but getting the touch ups done after a couple of years will be expensive and a pain.
