The makes plenty of power and handles like a dream. This was a fun build for the customer as he was able to see his passion and vision for this car come to life in front of his eyes. At the Silver State Classic he finished 4th in his class. We wish him luck as he continues on his many adventures planned. I am sure we will see this car at the Cadillac Challenge before year’s end.

Thank you,

Such a nice build gj d3. Any idea how much weight is saved by removing seats for the recaro buckets?

I can answer. About 70 lbs., per seat.

Very nice. What class did he run in? I'm a Lifetime Member of SSCC, number 297. I haven't run for several years, but I'm taking the Vagon to Ely this fall to run Touring Class, as I can't bring myself to chop up the car yet for Grand Sport or Grand Touring.

Also, do you know of any way to instal 5-points without a full cage? I'm thinking a harness bar like I used to run in my Corvettes...

I bet those Recaros don't rock in their mounts ;)

Nicely done, that's a sweet ride.

Awesome build, guys! I'm sure this one hauls ass. I really should look into widening my wheels as well. It looks damn good!

I did it last year for the Sand Hills Open Road Challenge and it was approved. I attached the lap belts to the rear front seat mount bolts, the anti-sub belt to the front seat mount bar, and the shoulder straps ran straight back to where the child seat anchor was. I replaced that with a monster hook that was rated at over 2000#. I ran the shoulder belts through the recess where I removed the headrest from (Recaros of course). Holds me tighter than heck.

VERY nice work guys! I see you used all the good parts too! The info shows the car had a target speed of 105, so a tech speed of 124? then. With a 5-point, he should be able to pass the 140 tech also. I'm applying to get these cars teched at a higher speed, due to the inherent strength of the roof when tested by IIHS; GOOD. The highest rating they give out.
