This'll be a great thread!

I always liked the BBS wheels they've used on various BMW's throughout the years:

The late '80s-early '90s Brougham wire wheel covers are my favorite wire wheel (or cover)
http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/1/4486/4301/11214650010_large.jpg

Chevy Rally wheels are a long time favorite.

As are the Mopar wheels.

Pontiac's snowflakes have always been awesome.

The 98-00 LS400's "5 slit" wheels were a nice variance on the common 5 spoke wheel.

The Grand Wagoneers always had a nice looking wheel. Luxurious, yet handsome and rugged.

The Lincoln "Turbine" wheels used from the late '70s to the early '90s were a very handsome wheels, decadent as well. Very fitting for a full sized Lincoln.

The Audi R8 V10 wheel is pure sex. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j313/Chadillac8705/Cars%20and%20Coffee/IMG_7556.jpg

I love the standard wheels on the Kia Optima SX.
http://images.dealerrevs.com/gallery/photo.php?id=55524686

The wheels on the '12 Soul Exclaim are awesome as well.
http://inlinethumb50.webshots.com/46705/2569062180103575343S425x425Q85.jpg

The smooth, elegant, clean looking stainless steel wheel covers on the 72-76 Mark IV have always been a favorite from that era.
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j313/Chadillac8705/Porkys/IMG_4784.jpg

The AMG Monoblocks are again "pure sex"

And I can't talk about my favorite wheels without plugging the set off the Marauder!

Best wheel? This.

It's what you cover it with that counts. :duck:

(at least to the classic/collector car enthusiast)

I like the CH-R.

I had a set of MOMO Sports on my lowered '92 SHO. Oh so nice.

As for factory wheels, the 7 solid spokes on my '04 V were just about perfect...

Great idea for a thresd, Chad! I can't disagree with any of your choices, especially the '70's Lincoln turbo veined ones.

For me the all time greatest wheels are the reverse laced Borrani's that added to the beauty of the best Italian design and made even mediogre Italian design look better! The reveerse rim and three earned knock-off really set them off from the rest:

92588 92589

And it is hard to beat the chrome Rudge 72 spoke wire wheels the the US Jaguars came with and the two eared knock-offs:

92590

Next would be the wonder Campagnolo wheels that started the trend of using alloys on cars around the world:

These off of a Lambo Espada are a favorite:

92592

Cadillac had some of the best hubcaps ever with 1956 standards, "turbine" and real wires:

92593 92594

92595

I especially like the simplicity and strength of the early Cadillac CTS wheels, so much so I put a set of the '03 polished alloys on my 95 STS (Sub's use of the later wheels look great too!)

Like Vincent, my primary vote is for the Oldsmobile SSII (and III) wheels. The Pontiac GTA's get runner up.

I do like Ford's turbine wheels as well. They looked good on anything the were available on (almost all FoMoCo full sized vehicles).

I also liked the body colored Eldorado and Fleetwood hubcaps from the 70's. I looked high and low for a set of 77-79 navy blue Fleetwood caps for my old 91, never found a set.

^The Eldorado wheel covers were awesome.

Also, Bigm57ict was correct. Plain stock rims are badass. I have four on the side of the house (Special extra-tough Hearse ones) and will not rid myself of them, because they just look so awesome. I would totally drive my Cadillac around with just stock rims, but still the RWD wire wheels (The same ones posted by Jay, because he is the man) remain.|personally do not care for more "modernized" rims, such as the aforementioned Audi R8 V10 ones. I cannot imagine a car those would actually match and all they need is neon green engine enamel and they would fit any riced out Honda perfectly (With size and bolt pattern differences removed from the equation)

Also, these are awesome. The wheels alone would convince me to drive this car, at least for a little while, in spite of the John Deere theme (Which is essentially the bane of my existence, to put it in relative terms)

2 rims styles I can't believe nobody has mentioned
1. Late 80s buick turbines (available on electras, lesabres, and olds custom cruisers)
2. Pontiac rallye II's

Call me crazy, but I like those goofy wheels used on various cars in the early-mid '80s
