First i wanna say sorry i didnt search alot but from what i did i really didnt find what i was looking for. I know they have head gasket issues and im hopin this isnt the case. It overheats roughly 30 mins after startup. Ive replaced both intake gaskets, thermostat, radiator, and the entire system has been flushed. The car runs perfect tho. Any ideas? Its a 98 sts

If you checked over the entire cooling system, including the purge line that runs to the overflow tank then there is a good chance you are the newest member of the blown head gasket club... :welcome:

Why come for advice if you're already deadset that its the head gaskets. Have you even done a block test yet?

Definitely check that purge line first. In fact, a guy just the other day in another section of the forum found that his purge line was plugged which was causing his car's overheating. Do the block test after an overheating event for confirmation, but if you have already gone through the system, there isn't much left other than head gaskets.

----------

If that is what it is there is plenty of reading to do here. A few guys (including me) are in the middle of doing the job... (But we are all going much deeper than just head gaskets.)

Might well be a HG, but follow the advice given and be sure. This is a big job. You don't want to end up with a heart bypass because of indigestion.

Unless you're the cardiologist getting paid to do the job......:shhh:

Same thing applies with the N*.....it's LIKELY the HG, but considering the expense, it's WELL worth it to rule EVERYTHING else out.
