ANyone heard anything or know if V-Day is happening this year? I was bummed because I had just gotten my V last year and I was waiting for plates for it, so I missed out. Was looking forward to this years event, but I haven't seen anything on it yet?

as mentioned above IF Vday6 happens this year it will be September at the earliest. I had originally planned on Vday taking a year off and returning in 2013 but have received alot of inquirys about it so we will see. why dont we use this thread to gage interest. for those of you new to the Cadillac, I hold a track day (always on a Monday or Friday) at Summit Point in West Virginia. usually try to have some involvement from Cadillac or Andy Pilgrim (or both). instructors for beginners, lunch, etc. costs about $250.00 a head. usually have around 40-50 V's from up and down the East coast. post up if sounds interesting. Vday veterans post up if you dont want to see Vday wait until 2013

I definitely would love to see it happen this year since I was so bummed about missing last year, but would be grateful for whenever it happens.

That makes us bums on the east coast who haven't attended just that.

Depending on when it is I am interested.

Just don't make it Labor Day weekend-week and if Im otherwise available, Im in.

Monday would probably be better to give people time to prep cars on the weekend and travel Sunday.

Being a new V owner I'd ABSOLUTLEY participate, as long as it's not Labor Day weekend like JDB said. I also have 2 other buddies who have V's and would participate. Lindsay Cadi- please let me know the next time or your schedule for holding track days at Summit Point.

I used to go to plenty of car audio shows in northern WV back in the day, so much fun blasting around the beautiful scenery. Would LOVE to take the sts-v down and have a track day! As long as I know of a date at least a month in advance Im in!

If there are instuctors, I might be interested, but I am a total noob when it comes to track time. I wouldn't want to get in the way.

There are totally instructors. If you have never done one, you'll be in the noob class with an instructor riding shotgun. It is a total blast, and you will learn a lot about what the V can do (a lot, it turns out!)

I'd really enjoy making this event if it happens, I have yet to be home when these are scheduled. As long as this does not coincide with my daughters 16th B-day (actual day is on 9/11, don't know what weekend it will be yet) I will be there for sure!

Out of curiosity, anyone know how old you have to be to drive at Summit Point?

Count me in. 2011's event was a success and there were a ton of V's there. It's the place to be if you're curious about what the V feels like if you were to drive it balls to the wall in an unrestricted (no speeding ticket!) format.

Last year we had a good turnout of instructors also. And, if you've never been on a racetrack before, don't worry. Classroom instruction, a "track walk", input from track veterans and Cadillac were all part of making novices feel completely at ease. You only go as fast as you want.

Let's make this happen for 2012!

I've made it to 4 out of the 5 V-days thus far, so if my understanding of history and statistics is valid, there is an 80% chance that I will make it to Vday 6.

Let's do this!!!! I just did a track day at Barber Motorsports Park this past weekend for Fathers Day with the Porsche Club and love it every time. I would definitely road trip to Summit for that. I raced motorcycles at Summit back in the day, would love to get together with a bunch of V owners and take the car around there. There are a ton of great tracks around the country to hold track days. Mid-Ohio, Barber, Summit, Road Atlanta, Roebling Road and VIR are some of my favorites on the east coast. I would road trip for any of them. The V is an amazing track car despite it's size and weight. It is amazing what these cars can do. Best way to learn to really drive your car and find the limits safely.

Not tracking is killing me slowly. I need to get back out there and see what this car can do.

Unfortunately there is NOT going to be a V Day this year. Luke has been very busy tending to family matters and just doesn't have the time to set it all up.

Hopefully we can get one going for next year...
