Any other V owners here planning on doing Power Tour this year?

Yup. I'll be there ... in my lowly V1. Not till about 1:00 pm, though.

Here's the thread that's circulation in the V1 Performance section: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/2004-2007-cadillac-cts-v-performance/259045-hot-rod-power-tour.html

I must say, I never thought this would be this big. I suppose I didn't know what to expect, but this far exceeded whatever I had in my mind. Literally, a couple thousand or more cars actually lined up and ready to go on the first leg of this thing tomorrow. Took my son, and he was rattling off license plates from all over the place ... and that was just a portion of them. To actually take part in this would be any car guy's dream.

Gathering at GM's Milford Proving Ground was a great idea, too. Filing in, it was stop and go for a couple of miles of their tracks/roads until we finally parked. Leaving took 1/2 hour 'cause we were on their testing tracks and guys were taking blasts on banked curves and around corners ... totally cool. Here's just a few of the 29 pics I took. I could've taken 100 easy.

Here we are filing in after passing the entrance into GMPG ...

Here's a slice equaling 1/10 of the place. I apologize since it doesn't even come close to capturing the size of this event ...

This car had to be the longest domestic (non limousine) car ever made ...

Here's one of the few V1s I saw taking part. It had Illinois plates, but the owner wasn't around to talk to ...

Here's a couple of Vs from Dayton, Ohio. The guys aren't on the forum, unfortunately ...

Finally, we were leaving, and everyone was following several of the many, many roads and tracks they have. Here, guys were holding back and taking a run at this banked curve in full view of the "security" vehicles on our way out. I hit 77 mph on one blast, but had I known what to expect, triple digits would have been easily possible. Everybody had to sign a waiver that you wouldn't hold GM liable for anything as you drove their grounds ...

This was way fun, guys. What else can I say?

That sounds cool! I wish I could have gone. I was busy all day with kid stuff. I saw alot of V2's driving around today (even at the car wash this morning).
