Just saying hi to everyone. I just turned 16 about a month ago and yesterday recieved my neighbor's 1991 Fleetwood Sixty Special. It's in I'd say almost perfect condition, except for a little leak in the power steering which I'm getting fixed soon. I think it's a pretty good first car, and a wonderful Cadillac. Found this site searching for accessories for my new caddy.
Glad to have you join, your about my age. Those Sixty Specials are great cars and really classy. What color is yours and how many miles are on it? I would love to have that car as much as I would love to have my neighboor give me a car hahahaha. Hope you enjoy it a lot, there is a guy on this site that is a major enthusiast towards those his name is Sandy. You should pm him and tell him what you got I think he would love to hear from you.
If its a wonderful Cadillac it is the best first car in the world :D

Its a navy blue with about 76000 miles on it. Ill upload some pics tomorrow as today it was raining all day. one minor gripe, i was coming home from a friends house and put the parking brake on because of the driveway hill, and had to manually release the brake and now the warning sign wont turn off. oh well, cant complain too much when you haven't taken it in to the shop to get a complete check of approval.
You have a special car there. We have a few 60's here with a small group that owns them, and Sandy is the ultimate guru regarding those cars.

Parking Brake suggestion:
It may be that the pedal did not return all the way back. There is a button that the pedal pushes against when it is fully retracted to keep that light off. Try this, pull the "release" handle holding it back all the way, and with your foot, pull back on the e-brake pedal. When the pedal is all the way back and up, release the handle. Did the light go out?

Hello there.....I am a new member too. Have had my 1992 cadillac for about a year now, and I love it. Bought it from a family member who was selling the cadillac as part of an estate sale. It is a 92 cadillac Brougham D' Elegance firmist red in and out. Has 44,000 miles and it shiney new, needs nothing but driving. Nice to know about all the people who are crazy about their caddy rides too. The other day while driving down town, heard the familar twin honks and looked to my left and there beside me was a beautiful black on black 80 plus year fleetwood brougham wanting me to see his car also....made me feel good to know I am not the only person enjoying the drive of a big boat of a car. Just dont understand the depreciation of the cadillacs. I know that mine cost new 35,000 to 42,000 dollars if what the owners brother told me was true. It has the most sensitive steering I have ever seen. My husband cant keep it straight and was stopped by the cops once. I told him he did not know how to drive it. He had me take it to a shop to check the steering, nothing was wrong as I told him. He is convinced now, you just relax and hold the wheel still with minimum steering. Enjoy!!
terrible one
