does anybody know a way to install an aftermarket headunit into a '97 STS? i know you can't use the standard 21-pin GM harness because of the bose system

i want my subs inside my new caddy

another option would be to use a lowpass filter to connect the rca's and then just add an fm modulated 6 or 10 disk changer, but that still doesnt fix the problem of the terrible sound processing on the stock head unit

I have a 93 STS that had the Bose system in it. I tore everything completely out and used a continuity tester and a circuit tester to figure out a few wires then completly rewired with new speaker wire and an antenna extension. The only hard part is trying to figure what to pull and what not to pull. in my case that was all four speakers and amps, tuner in trunk, two relays for speaker amps, and head unit. I was also able to rewire the factory power antenna by keeping the power wires and running a relay wire to the new head unit. Good Luck.
