: Joined the Escalade Club!

Hi All, Last week, I joined the club with the purchase of a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. It is Pewter and had 30,000 miles on it when I bought it.

I did not post pics initially because I hated the wheels that the previous owner had installed. I got lucky when I went to my local Les Schwab to look for new wheels as a guy with a new 2012 came in and wanted new wheels for his. I was able to purchase new wheels and tires with 10/32s tread for $1,100. Got them installed last Friday.

So far, I am loving it. Coming from a 2009 Malibu and a 2011 Corvette Grand Sport so this is a lot more roomy and has surprising performance for it's size. Anyhow, here are some pics:

The 'Lade came with factory navigation but no bluetooth. I am not a fan of factory nav anyhow so not having bluetooth gave me an excellent excuse to install a new deck, speakers and an Amp. As long as I was doing that, I had an integrated Escort Passport 9500CI radar detector and Clifford 590.4x security system.

Here are the specs for the audio system:
- Kenwood DNX9990HD
- Scosche Adapter plate
- Focal 165VR30 Components Up front and Matching Focal 6 1/2" 2-ways in the rear
- Alpine 4x100 and 1x600 Digital Amps mounted under second row seats
- JL Audio 12W6v2 Subwoofer (in a box so I can easily remove it, if needed)

And some pics:

Thanks for looking!

Great deal on those wheels, and the car looks great! Was your Malibu a V6?

Welcome! I'm also considering an audio upgrade with the same subwoofer and amp combo. How do you like the components? Were they a direct bolt in, or was there modification required for mounting them in the doors?

Congrats on Joining the club, I just got an 08 Escalade Black on Black last night. Getting rid of my 08 Denali.

I'm getting a bunch of Paint Work done to it, to tone down some of the chrome. I'll post before and after pics soon.

The things I'm getting painted black are: The chrome on the mirrors, the chrome along the bottom of the windows & the chrome lift gate plate above the license plate, man that stuff looks awful, way to much chrome.

Gorgeous and congrats on finding one with such low mileage. I thought I hit the jackpot finding one with 49K.

What exhaust does it have? The tip looks aftermarket.
