Just wanted to say hello!

I just picked up my 2012 CTS-V coupe and am amazed at the combination of performance, style and features. This car is awesome. My last car was (is since I haven't sold it yet) a 2000 BMW 540i/6sp which has strong performance but not even close to the CTS-V.

This is the first coupe I have owned although my wife drives a 2006 Mustang GT coupe so it won't be too hard to get used to the differences.
My car is a black diamond manual with the Recaro seats and was actually delivered to GM Renaissance Center and was used for display at the recent auto shows.

Iíll take some photos once the weather clears.

This means that I've sat in your car! :) Welcome. Also, if your 540i is anything like my Mom's departed '02 540i, then you will also be saying goodbye to some horrific repair/maintenance bills on that car.

I may have sat in it as well...

Yeah, the 540 has required a lot of maintenance but I do a fair portion of my own work and have found an indie who has reasonable rates. Just recently had to spend $3K to have timing chain guides replaced and the whole front of the engine had to come apart along with the oil galleries and pump which needing flushing to get all the plastic particles out.

Hopefully my CTS-V will be more reliable.

I may have sat in your car too if it was at the Detroit Auto Show. Matter of fact, I am in a picture of the car as I was getting into it at the Black Tie charity event that was in the Detroit News.

I was just "big stuffin" it. I'm kinda a big deal. Actually, I'd never be there but my girlfriend has a politcal job and has required attendance.
