What brake fluid came in the 2007 V? I have heard both DOT 3 and DOT4. I have the lines unhooked and want to do a good bleeding when i get it back together. What do you suggest for brake fluid? Thanks,

Dot 4 is better and compatable with Dot 3. I think GM switched from Dot 3 to Dot 4 conincident with the 2006 model year. Your auto parts store should have several brands with the temperature rating on the label - choose one of the higher temperature brands.

Don't let the system bleed dry, you will have a tough time getting the ABS system refilled !

^^ Agreed with above, you'll need a tech II scanner to properly bleed the ABS system AFAIK.

Go for the DOT4.. any brand should work fine for normal use.

Use a 4.

I use ATE Type 200.

ATE Super Blue and Type 200 are the same fluid, but with different colors. That is popular for the track guys and DIYers. And it should serve you well.

If you go hard core tracking, I'd recommend Motul 600...

Agreed. Blue is easier to check when you've pumped out all the old fluid.

And the Motul stuff is awesome, better than ATEE, but almost twice/three times more expensive! So beware!
