Just wanna take a moment to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving, shared with loved ones in good health and much happiness. Remember to give thanks for all that you have, and not find unhappiness in what you lack.
Say a little prayer for the safety of our troops fighting so far away from home.

Our son is coming home from Princeton University and I have not seen him since September 6th - then it's out to dinner early afternoon and in the early evening we are going to a local hospital to donate our time and help serve Thasnksgiving Dinners to hospitalized people, giving the normal aides time off to have dinnner with their familes at home. I think it's called "giving back to society" or something like that.

My best to all you Caddy people. May you all be blessed ! :) :)

'Ya,you should see how happy we make the folks in the hospital ! Most of them are there recovering from surgery (non elective) or from a recent car accident, or a fall or as a result of some other injury or as a result of a crime committed against them. Most are coherrant and to have a "layman" come in and bring them dinner or a newspaper - but most of all, just exchange a few words with them, it really priceless. Family can only stay so long, and they tire out, so these poor souls lay (or sit) there for hours on end. Especially hard on them at Thanksgiving, so we relieve some (not all) of the nurses who bring in the dinners and/or snacks and we do it and B.S. a bit with them, if they are "friendly" ~ if not we leave them alone.
We also do it on Christmas eve, as well. It feels good to help others when they are down on their luck. :yup: I use my car cover & cover my car while in the lot. Covered cars drawn attention, and do not get door dinged :helpless:

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all.

We're celebrating at our house this year, minus all the in-laws.

Last year's biting dog incident took care of that.

Ben gets an extra helping of turkey. He's earned it.

Uhhh.. Ralph, Thanksgiving is always on Thursday. ;)

Ours fell on a Monday last month, but the date stays the same with ours I believe. (the days change :cookoo: ) Am I wrong Daacon, or am I thinking of Remembrance day? Often we have a holiday fall on a Thursday but people have to go back to work on Fri, the next day. This is what I meant.

So I'm not joking, I just assumed you all have to go back to work on Fri?

Thanks Sandy! I definately will as Sixty just came back from the body shop -- damn Red Cross drivers can't back up straight! The 2005 LeSabre was not even a close fit to Sixty.

I got hammered by the magic of tryptophan this afternoon. Slept from about 4:45 until 6:15. I'll be up all night now.
