I'm a boxing fan - Povetkin, W & V Klitschko, Chagaev, Adamek .... mostly the Eastern European or Slav fighters that now dominate the heavy ranks [I'm a fan of their technical skills]. The boxing world seems to be split 50/50 with "nostalgic" fans arguing that boxing competition is watered-down today and the other 50% saying that the talent and skill is every bit as solid in this modern era. I'm of the latter group and believe Vitali Klitschko (as an example) would not only have competed well against Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, but likely beaten both. We can all have our opinion, but I suppose we'll never know. I've watched enough matches, plus older footage to form my own thoughts.

I also respect some of the MMA guys like Junior Dos Santos; the guy has serious skills. Not so much a fan of Overeem, as he's clearly juiced-up and needs to be banned after failing multiple tests in recent years. George St. Pierre is another fun guy to watch.

I am a frustrated boxing fan. Saw Thriller in Manila as a child in the Philippines on a 9 inch TV on my grandpas shoulder cause every man in the village was at our house to see it.

Don King and and Bob Arum get credit and blame.

I miss the old old days.
