Just talking out loud and I've considered my options...it's to replace my 911 I just sold but MAYBE sell the wagon and have one car. The warranty and just outright "middle finger" to the established is the draw.

Probably going to be a V Coupe because I loving the shape and may be a better weekend track toy. The only option I'm considering is Recaro seats but concerned about there comfort. The sunroof would be nice but it's only a flip open type so it doesn't seem worth it.

Sedan is probably more practical but I think the coupe would be just fine since the rear seats are nearly as commodious and I really don't take adults only my kids.

If I didn't have a wagon already I'd be locked on a vagon.

The real consideration is automatic or manual...and I've read the many discussions. We'll see but soon I'll have one. If you have any comments or suggestions fire away. Thanks.

IMO that's not a real consideration...most people know exactly which transmission they want, for personal reasons. I'm a manual/6spd guy, yet I knew for a fact I wanted an auto for this car b/c of LA traffic. Plus the automatic is faster, this has been proven time and again. If you enjoy rowing the gears, get a manual.

I stay away from sunroofs of any type on GM cars, btw.

So happy you're going to order your V, ekyub! I look forward to reading the community's transmission opinions, and if you have any specific vehicle questions on your new ride, don't hesitate to send me a private message.

Happy car shopping,

The Recaros are very comfortable and incredibly supportive for me.

The back seats will be a bitch for anyone not small in stature, so make sure you want that.

The manual in this car is among the best around. Shifting is also reduced due to the mountain of torque.

So my local dealer doesn't have what I want (no options except maybe Recaros). He is trying to work me on a new gray coupe with all the options around 66k + plus...

I always thought I would have to order one but of course if I order one the trunk money will most likely not be available in the summer when I would take delivery.

What's the name of the guy everyone seems to get theirs from? Quinn or something?

Nice but I don't like the black wheels or the yellow calipers.
